Hatfield Hyde Cemetery

Burial and memorialisation options

We understand that choosing a loved one's final resting place can be extremely daunting and emotional.

About Hatfield Hyde Cemetery

  • The cemetery opened in 1924 and covers over five acres of land.
  • To date over 4,000 burials have taken place across over 3000 graves.
  • The design of the cemetery permits traditional memorials to be placed on graves.
  • It offers a variety of cremation plots to best stand as a remembrance for those who have passed away.

Please note unfortunately there are no new graves available for full burials.

The layout of the cemetery means we may be required to temporarily move neighbouring grave sets when preparing graves. Great care will be taken when moving the memorials and they will be returned after the burial.

Memorials and memorial regulations

There are a range of memorial options for traditional graves, including full grave sets. See our cemetery fees page for more information about costs.

All memorials must be fitted by a NAMM (National Association of Memorial Masons) approved Stone Masonry company and follow our cemetery regulations.

You must apply for a permit before starting any work for memorials, additional inscriptions or repairs.
